Summer 2008 is going to be full of fun and activity for our youth and adults alike. East Baptist Church is proud to introduce our new Summer Youth Director Christina Bush.  Christina will be directing our Vacation Bible School, Game Day Central. Our VBS will be held July 13-17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. each evening. This program is designed for those children who will are 5 years old through those who have completed 6th grade. The children will learn songs, play games, make crafts, enjoy snacks, hear bible stories and have fun. Vacation Bible School will culminate on Sunday July 20th at 12:00 noon with a family party and cook out following the church service.

The theme of this VBS is based on Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. " (NIV) We learn to run the race by being obedient to our life coach, Jesus Christ.

East Baptist Church participated in the Whitehall 4th of July parade this year. What fun and what a crowd. Thousands of people lined the streets for this celebration. This is definitely the largest event of the year in our community. Thanks to all who participated. 

Our annual SINGSPIRATION is scheduled for Sunday evening August the 3rd at 6:00p.m. This will be followed by the always popular Ice Cream Social. Mark your caIendars! If you are interested in performing please contact Kathy Leonard. Singers and performers should arrive at 5:00 for any rehearsal or set up.
